I don't usually like sports games but i know other people in my class like them so I decided to try one. The game I decided to try was NFL 2011. This game is very similar to the Madden games but is for the iPod. I have only had this game for a few days but I already like it. Just like in Madden you can play career mode where you chose a team and play as them for a season. If you don't want to do that and just want to play a single game you can play exhibition mode where you just chose a team and play a game right there. There are also so mini games you can play, one of which is pass mode. All you do is try to get the most yards by passing the ball in four tries.
I like this game for being a sports game. The controls are simple and easy to use, to pass to a certain player all you have to do is just touch that person. to run there is a joystick, and the other things like tackling and sprinting, there are buttons. The graphics are decent; I've seen better on iPod games, but they aren't the worst. All in all I like this game and I will be playing it for a while. If you have an iPod and you like sports games give this a shot, there is a free version that you can try before you buy the actual game. The actual game was 3 dollars when i got it so it wasn't bad.

I remeber playing madden with my dad and I creamed him everytime. I might have to get this game and see how it is.
Sounds like my kind of game!
I find that sports games have no plot. games like this are endless repetitive games.
I don't like sports games either. They all seem the same.
I think it's great that you're trying different sorts of games. I also appreciate games that have free versions so you can try them out first.
